Evisu x Warr’s 20th Anniversary Custom Harley-Davidson

Usually, denim brands celebrate their anniversary with the norm like special edition denim or other fashion items but Japan-based denim brand Evisu takes on a totally different road to mark their 20th anniversary. Evisu has appointed Warr’s, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle dealer since the 1920s, to custom the Kamome Sprinter Harley-Davidson motorcycle. this unlikely partnership resulted in a bike that combines the vintage flair with modern functionality.

As you would have expected, accents of Evisu denim along with intricate London gunsmith engravings are found throughout this black, gold and chrome themed custom chopper. if you are residing in United Kingdom, you will be able to acquire this exquisitely custom Harley from Evisu store on Savile Row and Warr’s King’s Road showroom in London. the Evisu x Warr’s 20th Anniversary Custom Harley-Davidson is expected to carry a retail price of around £35,000 (about US$57,225/RM217,455).

The Simpsons Chuck Taylor All Star

Take one of the world’s most loved TV family (and the longest scripted show in TV history to boot) and put them together with the one of the world’s most recognizable footwear such as Converse, and you will witness the coolest sneakers on earth and that for the record, my friend, is none other than The Simpsons Chuck Taylor All Star. the exciting collection consists of three adult size sneakers, plus a trio for the juniors. to be fair, there are really only three designs, as the kicks for junior’s shares the same design as two of the adult size pairs. basically, like any collaborations, these sneakers give you the best of what Chuck Taylor All Star has to offer, decorated in colorful screen printed graphics of the characters from The Simpsons family, including one pair dedicated to Homer (featuring his signature exclamation “D’oh” and “Woo Hoo!“), one featuring Bart scribbling on the black chalkboard (being punished, obviously), and one sporting the usual Homer-pissed-off-with-Bart graphics along with the girls of the family. awesome stuff.

INSA x EVISU Daicock Raw Denim Jeans

British artist and designer INSA recently collaborated with Osaka-based denim brand EVISU to produce a special capsule collection of two limited-edition pairs of denim. Presented here is their take on EVISU’s Daicock Raw Denim Jeans which also drew on the talents of British designer Alex Noble. Available in a tapered fit for men and a skinny fit for women, both feature the artist’s signature vibrant paint drip graffiti effect on both the front and back while incorporating the Daicock design.

INSA had this to say about the concept: “It’s a mix of fashion, fetish and art, pushing the idea of a commodity seen as a fetishized object – in this case, luxury denim – and using the fabric itself to express this, and referencing the style of traditional Shibari is a nod to Evisu’s Japanese heritage.  It was a true pleasure to collaborate on the novelty piece with designer Alex Noble – I feel we both understand the sublimation of extreme fashion to artistic expression.”

Limited to 300 pairs of each, the Daicock Raw Denim Jeans are currently available for purchase over at EVISU’s new flagship store on Wellington Street, Central in Hong Kong as well as online through at Evisu’s website. The male edition of the jeans is priced at $539 USD and the female pair at $489 USD.
