The Samurai Army Rugby Towers Poppy Shirt 2015. This year the shirt features the Tower of London's stunning Ceramic Poppy display from last year, the display was created by artists Paul Cummins and Tom Piper. They installed over 888,000 ceramic poppies that filled the Tower Of London's famous moat for four months from July to November 2014. The shirt in addition to a stunning image of the Tower Of London installation has the British Army Rugby insignia on the left chest, the Samurai logo on the right, the British Legion logo on the right arm, union Jack with ARMY on back of neck and 'In Flanders Fields' on the back.  Stealth + hidden arcs

The S710OG has a full back pocket lining and the additional hidden arcs are stitched in there. Arcs tersembunyi di dalam lining poket belakang.

 The selvedge line on these is really interesting, macro shots make it look like a bunch of random threads jumbled together. Untuk selvedge S710OG, Samurai tidak menggunakan style selvedge yang biasa sebaliknya merekan menggunakan benang hijau dengan cara sulaman random. Kena ambil gambar micro baru perasan.

Pai kulit ini sudah menyatakan segalanya. Made of Organic Cotton (dibuat menggunakan kain kapas organik). Made in Osaka, Japan - takyah translate korang dah paham. Diingatkan lagi untuk sesiapa yang berminat untuk mendapatkan Jeans Samurai ini kena ukur pinggang dan pilih saiz yang 2 inci lebih besar kerana believe it or not these type of jeans/denim will shrink after 1 wash. Usually between 1.5 to 3 inches. You have been warned!

Cerita - Samurai - Disebalik keunikan leather patch

Samurai Jeans are a proud Japanese denim brand with a strong history. The brand uses the leather patch on each jean to tell story. Samurai jeans shares the following view concerning the leather patch: The leather jeans patch was originally attached in order to polish the knife of working woodsman and trappers throughout the West. Today it is a denim marketing tool and branding instrument which is a long way from the origins proposed by Samurai Jeans. Kalau kita nak cakap kat bebudak skarang yang kegunaan leather patch kat belakang seluar Made In Japan tuh adalah semata-mata untuk mengasah pisau, parang atau pedang memang mampos kena gelak. Tapi itulah sejarahnya. Gambar kat atas nih cuma sedikit contoh. Ada banyak lagi sebenarnya patch kulit yang unik dikeluarkan/digunakan oleh Samurai Jeans untuk mengkelaskan dan meng-unikkan lagi jeans keluaran mereka.

Contoh leather patch siri model S510XX. Model siri ini bermula dari #0 iaitu yang paling rare/limited dan berterusan sampai #11 iaitu mass produce.

Contoh leather patch siri model S510XX2. Siri model ini mempunyai cutting yang sama dengan model S510XX. Cara nak membezakan cuma pada burung diatas Gunung Fuji ada 2 ekor sama dengan 2 dibelakang siri model. Model siri dan patch sebegini telah diberhentikan produksi sejak tahun 2000. Kalau ada terjumpa tu  belilah sebab di e-Bay boleh cecah sehingga USD3000 sehelai.

Contoh leather patch siri model S510XXX yang memang sudah pupus dan diberhentikan produksi sejak tahun 1999. Biasanya dibahagian Lot# akan dimulakan dengan #0 dan diikuti dengan no bilangan seluar dikeluarkan. Perbezaan paling ketara kat pai tu adalah tiada seekor burung pun terbang di atas Gunung Fuji. Gambar yang Bozzo dapat dari internet ni datang dari model penghujung tahun 1999. Itu pasallah samurai dua orang tuh nampak gemuk sedkit. Trivia - korang semua tahu tak yang samurai dua orang tu akan menjadi lebih gemuk mengikut jenis kain. Yang paling kurus pai di kain 15oz dan paling gemuk di kain 25oz. Hebat!

Contoh leather patch siri model S2000 yang dikeluarkan sempena memperingati waktu perang dan damai atau lebih dikenali dengan nama 'ZERO WAR'. Jika diperhatikan gambar pai diatas kita boleh nampak ada 2 ekor burung yang terbang ditepi Gunung Fuji bukan diatas. Kedudukan bulan juga beralih lebih kekanan. Dan, yang paling ketara adalah 2 orang samurai tu tengan bersalaman tanda pendamaian.

Yang diatas nih satu lagi contoh pai bermotifkan kedamaian atau Zero War untuk model S510AI-OGSP. Model ini lebih istemewa kerana gull poket adalah dilukis bukan jahit. Gambar motif kali ini siap ada kuda sekor. setahu Bozzo jugak untuk model ini di coin poket tiada rivet.

Limited Edition Blue in Green and Samurai collaboration "Shadow" series, a two part production using Samurai's S710 silhouette and cut for the first time in their 17oz selvage "Zero" denims in Indigo and Black. This second edition is the Black Shadow model which features the Black Zero denim, Black topstitch detailing, Black leather patch, Black rivets, Jin model iron plated buttons, and Jin model Ecru color front pocket bags.

• Warp threads are dyed black prior to weaving.
• Weft yarns are white as is common with indigo-dyed jeans
• As the Black warp yarns are rope dyed, and the cores of the yarns are left undyed, the color fading properties will be similar to indigo dyed denim jeans.

Black Leather patch with silver embossing. Cuba perhatikan kedudukan bulan adalah ditengah-tengah dan tiada burung terbang di atas gunung Fuji. Dibahagian Lot# terteran BKSHDW iaitu acronim untuk Black Shadow. Dari segi lain tak nampak perbezaan yang ketara sangat untuk patch ini.

 17oz Samurai Original Japanese selvage "Zero" denim.

The selvage line contains intertwining strands of Red and Silver lamé which symbolize the bleeding passion of the samurai's soul and the gleam of the razor sharp sword which he possesses. Jahitan rantai/chain stiching juga menggunakan benang yang telah di dye hitam.

Review - Samurai Jeans - 17oz LTD ED S5000GX-M Water Element Model

The "Go Rin No Sho" series is a collection of 5 different models presented by Samurai Jeans, each one based on the teachings of the famous samurai warrior Miyamoto Musashi found in his written text on survival strategies entitled "The Book of Five Rings" or "五輪書 / Go Rin No Sho" as it's known in Japan. Musashi broke his teachings down into five sections, or "books", in connection with the five physical movements of life as referenced in many ancient Eastern philosophies and thought; Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, Void. And in this order Samurai will release a new jean featuring weft yarns and pockets bags dyed with a natural dyestuff representing each of these five elements.

 

The S5000GX-M is the second in this series and features weft yarns and pocket bags dyed with Natural Indigo to represent Musashi's second book, "The Book of Water".
